Crowning Moment with Miss NC

After working so hard it was so nice to here my named called as Miss NC Majestic Queen. It was not only fitting that my moms birthday was a few days away and she was actually turning my contestant number (46) but also that I was going to get crowned by Miss NC. Every year its always been an honor to be crown by our own Miss NC, but personally for me it was more than an honor. I had the pleasure of not only getting to know Katherine throughout my years of pageants, but also being her sister queen under the Miss Mt Holly organization. Katherine and I spent the year together as the Mt. Holly queens not just doing appearances and competing at Miss NC and NC Outstanding Teen, but also growing as a family! We have both been blessed this year and I hope we will continue to be blessed as we represent our home state and communities! I am so very excited to be "out and about" in NC and share with our people the story of the Masonic Home and also promote our great Little Miss NC organization!

Congrats Gastonia Girls

In picture:
Teen Miss Gastonia-Ashlee Keller and I
Miss Gaston County- Shania Anderson
Miss Gastonia- Mikhalia Leinbach
Miss Gaston County OT- Lauren Hossfeld
Miss Gastonia OT- Hannah Baldwin

Being a former Miss Gaston County's Outstanding Teen I traveled to Gaston College to see who would wear the 2010 Miss Gastonia and Miss Gaston County's Outstanding Teen title. The competition was very close as far as I could tell but only two girls could take away the title. The ladies competed in Interview, On stage question, Fitness, Evening Gown, and Talent. I could tell that every girl had worked hard to look so good on stage. Everyone did such a great job and should be proud of their accomplishments at the pageant. Hannah Baldwin took the title of Miss Gastonia's Outstanding Teen as Lauren Hossfeld was crowned the new Miss Gaston County's Outstanding Teen. These girls will have a great year representing the wonderful town of Gastonia as well as competing at Miss North Carolina's Outstanding Teen Pageant in June! Gastonia had a busy day on Saturday not only did they crown two wonderful teens but also two Miss titles were given. Special Congratulations to the new Miss Gastonia Mikhaila Leinbach and to Shaina Anderson our new Miss Gaston County! These girls will also have an awesome year representing Gastonia and competitng in the Miss North Carolina Pageant also held in June. Congrats girls....so happy and proud of those Gastonia girls!

Every Girl Is a Princess :)

As we all know every little girl wants to be a princess, on Saturday morning I got to crown 20 little girls and officially make them a princess. The event took place at The Perfect Step Dance Studio in Gastonia, NC. Twenty of the cutest girls took place in a "Princess Camp" there at the dance studio and not only got dressed up as a princess but also learned the importance of being a great princess. They learned that the value of friendship, honesty and courage are all apart of the traits a great princess neads to be successful in life. Each girl walked down a red carpet, modeled for their parents, family and friends and then I got the privelage to crown each one of them as "The Princess Fairy Godmother" sprinkled fairy dust on their wonderful crown and princess costume. They performed as they welcomed us to the show and did a cute routine to "Be our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast, and to end the show they shared with us how if they followed the rules they set to be great princesses they would truly live in a "Whole New World." I think we have alot of good princesses coming up in North Carolina, not only beautiful but already learning great qualities to have in life!

What an honor!!!

Wow! Thats all I can say...I am so blessed and honored to be crowned the new NC Majestic Queen. I had the time of my life competing at Little Miss NC 2009 the pageant was full of beautiful and very talented young ladies of all ages. The friendships I made will last for a life time. The week could have not went any better for me, not only was a ready to compete at my best level I also was blessed to have my whole family there cheering me on. What an awesome expierence it was to stand up on the High Point Theatre stage with Miss NC 2009 Katherine Southard who happens to be my former Miss Mt Holly sister queen, as they called my name out as the new Miss NC Majestic Queen I was thrilled not only to wear the crown but also to represent my home state and support the Masonic Childrens Home. As a approach this great year ahead of me I would like to offer myself to everyone that needs my help or assitant at anything. I am ready and willing to accept the title and job of being NC's Majestic Queen! Thank you all so much for your support I look foward to the great year and memories ahead of me and my wonderful sister queens.
